A Trim is a micro adjustment. You are not removing whole sections — you are nudging the start or end point of a clip by a few frames.
Like adjusting where a sentence ends. Sometimes removing just 2 frames from the end of a clip makes the edit feel 10 times smoother.

When trimming — always watch the cut at least 3 times before deciding it is right. Your eye adjusts to what you expect to see. Watching it fresh each time helps you feel whether the cut is actually smooth.
